All the Animals

Terms of use

Last updated: 2026-07-27

By using All the Animals you accept the terms below. They are short because the site is simple: it publishes wildlife information, it has no accounts, and it collects nothing from you directly.

What this site is

All the Animals is a free, general-audience wildlife reference. It is educational and informational. It is not a scientific publication, a veterinary resource, a field-safety guide, or advice of any kind about approaching, handling or keeping animals.

Accuracy and liability

The content is provided as is. Considerable care goes into it, but wildlife information changes, sources disagree, and errors happen. No warranty is given that anything here is complete, current or accurate, and the site accepts no liability for any loss arising from reliance on it. If accuracy matters for your purpose, verify against the IUCN Red List, iNaturalist or primary literature — every page links out.

Content and copyright

The written profiles, region introductions and group descriptions are original to this site and are protected by copyright. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link. Republishing pages in full, or using the text to train or populate another database or content service, is not permitted without permission.

Photographs are not covered by that and are not the site's to license. Each is the work of an iNaturalist contributor, published under a Creative Commons licence (CC0, CC BY or CC BY-SA) and credited on the page where it appears. If you want to reuse a photograph, follow the terms of its individual licence and credit the photographer, not this site.

Species records originate with iNaturalist and its contributors. Conservation statuses originate with the IUCN.

External links

Pages link out to Wikipedia, iNaturalist, the IUCN and other sites. Those are not under this site's control and no responsibility is taken for their content.

Advertising

The site carries advertising through Google AdSense. Ads are labelled and kept to at most one per view. What advertising involves in terms of cookies and data is described in the privacy policy.

Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it at a rate that degrades it for others, or reproduce it wholesale. Normal reading, linking and sharing are all fine and encouraged.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the date at the top reflects the current version. Questions go to the contact page.
